After once spending 57 continuous days below the rim of the Grand Canyon I began the think of the realities above the rim as an alternate universe. Time no longer mattered. How many people ever get a few months to lose themselves in the Wilderness to think? The Grand Canyon has offered me a rare way to reflect on life. I love finding places in the backcountry where this juxtaposition exists. You won’t find images like this on the rim in the “real” World.
